After almost 10 years of operating from Carrier’s Fold Wombourne, South Staffordshire, UK, raw materials and metal powder supplier Hart Materials has moved to a newly refurbished Technology Centre in the same locality.

Managing Director Dr Tony Hart told Powder Metallurgy Review, “We moved because we out-grew our office space and did not have an integral warehouse. Our new facility rectifies both problems and we aim to be fully operational by the end of August.”

“The decision to call the refurbished premises a “Technology Centre” emphasises that we market our products on the basis of our comprehensive knowledge of their behaviour,” he added.

This much improved operational base will facilitate a more efficient and economic distribution of powders and other small particles, in which the company specialises. It will also catalyse the expansion of the range of products available from Hart Materials, a prime company objective in the short to medium term.

Work is already progressing to produce, in powder form, two nickel-based products one containing a small amount of silicon and another that also contains a small amount of chromium. In addition work to provide a range of silver-coated particles on powder substrates is well advanced.
