Powder Metallurgy: A recognized green technology
Thanks to an initiative undertaken by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the PM industry is stepping up its efforts to promote the fact that powder metallurgy is a recognized "green" technology.
PM’s sustainability advantages have always been there, but these advantages are now of increasing interest to end-user industries that are keen to embrace green production and understand the environmental impact of their products.
“Being sustainable is a way of life and, for many of us in the PM industry, being green is now a way of doing business. If you are part of the PM industry, no matter at what point in the supply chain, you are urged to embrace and promote, along with your industry colleagues, this important message. Do it using the special logo created. Add it to your letterhead. Show it on your homepage. Place it on packaging containers. Use it anywhere else to promote these concepts”, suggests the Metal Powder Industries Federation.
